Fast Track Fluency is a training method that has been developed to reintroduce the natural way that we were born to learn languages. It creates forward momentum in the language acquisition process, taking the principles of the way that children learn languages and rewiring an adult’s mind to achieve outstanding results and skyrocket their progress towards learning a new language.
Sarah would always say that languages were “not for her”.
She would frequently describe herself as somebody that “struggled with languages”.
She studied French in school, but couldn’t retain what she learnt or communicate with French speakers.
Later on in life she tried Spanish, with little success. She tried working with a tutor online, as well as a short stint at a language school in her hometown. In the end, she didn’t have anything to show for it.
She felt as though she didn’t have “what it took” to learn languages and was pessimistic that she could make any progress.
When she instilled principles and did the work, she was upper-intermediate in Japanese in 6 months.
Within weeks, she said that something “suddenly clicked” and she was starting to understand what was being said around her.
She had all the confidence in the world that she could reach fluency within the next couple ofyears
There’s no such thing as the “language talent” or the “language gene”. If you’ve learnt a language previously– which you have – your mother tongue.
You can be confident that you have the ability to learn another language.
Day 0 = You’ll be speaking Japanese right from the start. We’ll teach you the most important tools of the language that will allow you to communicate immediately with the people around you, describing what’s around you, and expressing who you are.
Week 2 = You now putting together basic Japanese sentences and your mixing a matching based on any new words you learn. Giving you a solid foundation to work from.
Week 3 = Talking about emotions, talk about what you like / dislike, as well as what interests you.
Week 4 = You are reading Hiragana well at this point. Your writing ability has also improved dramatically since you’ve started. You now can read and write over 50% which includes important grammar and vocabulary.
Week 8 = You begin to start using the “language glue” that puts different sentences together, “but”, “if”, “because”, “afterwards”.
Week 12 = You are now speaking Japanese more freely and can describe imagery and express yourself based on a range of unique situations.
We understand that life is complicated and you have a number of different goals, commitments and distractions that come up. That’s ok. We’ve designed our program to give you complete control in when you learn, and how you learn it. You can book lessons at times that suit your schedule. And you’ll also have access to our materials that you can use to study in your own time, so that you’ll never miss a session.
Simply put, learning a language is nothing like learning anything else in school. Contrary to what most think, language learning is a creative process. At Talk Nihongo, we are even hesitant to call it “learning” a language, acquiring a language makes more sense. You don’t become proficient in Japanese by reading lots of books and accumulating lots of information, you become proficient in Japanese by using the language consistently, and effectively to get what you want!
We have learnt that immersion alone is not enough to acquire the language. The reason? A drowning man cannot learn to swim. If you arrive in a country where you don’t understand what’s being said and people around you are talking about abstract topics that have no relevancy or obvious meaning, you are not going to learn. It will only go over your head.
Then you’re at the start of something truly special, congratulations! We’ll have you speaking Japanese from day 1 in our program. Within a couple of weeks you’ll be speaking sentences in Japanese and you’ll make meaningful progress towards your language goals. You will also have a clear pathway for success with individual milestones and personalised learning paths.
Our classes are designed to fit into your busy schedule. Each class is typically 60 minutes long, and you can choose the frequency that suits you best, whether it’s daily, weekly, or something in between.
By following our Fast Track Fluency™ framework, you can expect to achieve conversational fluency in Japanese within 6 months. This includes the ability to understand and participate in everyday conversations, read basic texts, and write simple sentences.
Applying for the program is easy. Simply fill out the application form on our website, and one of our team members will get in touch with you to discuss the next steps and schedule your trial class.
